Why storage becomes an issue after an accident.
A vehicle that cannot be driven still has to go somewhere. Leaving it at the scene is rarely an option, leaving it on a public road can attract penalties, and leaving it at home means it deteriorates, gets in the way, and is exposed to weather and to anyone passing.
There is also a claims reason. Until the damage has been properly assessed, the vehicle is evidence. Secure storage keeps it intact and available, which protects your position rather than complicating it.
